First-Ever Fully Air-Conditioned Bus Shelter by Daikin India

New Delhi is undoubtedly one of the hottest cities in India. Here, summers are associated with unbearable heat waves, scorching sun and temperatures rising above 45 degrees Celsius. At such a difficult time, we at Daikin India, strived to touch the lives of common people. ‘Fill the air with Goodness’ is not just a punch line for us, we abide by it and have put it into action by spreading the goodness all around. Our initiative to bring respite to daily bus commuters by installing air conditioners, at Lajpat Nagar bus stand, is one of a kind. The commuters were reported saying that it is one of the most remarkable initiatives that has been implemented and a great step towards spreading real happiness.

The air conditioned bus shelter activity gained immense popularity on social media platforms, news agencies and YouTube as well. The media captured the real essence of the initiative, which was spreading goodness with innovation. They showcased how common people were enjoying the cool breeze while waiting for the bus without feeling the heat. Commuters were seen to appreciate this initiative, and it was reported to be a thoughtful and kind gesture for them. The smiles captured were priceless, and that is exactly what we had wanted.

Newspapers such as Hindustan Times, India Tribune and The Financial Express came forward to cover the initiative. As stated by Financial Express, “While the service is available only at one station, it can be definitely seen as one great chilling relief for the commuters in Delhi who wait for their buses to get to their workplaces in stifling heat otherwise.” The popular news channel, ABP News, covered our initiative in their Viral Sach segment. Admiration and acknowledgement are pouring in from everywhere.

We, at Daikin India, believe in spreading happiness and goodness around and work towards achieving the same with highly advanced and innovative technology in our products and initiatives, alike.
